Central London Alliance has set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the most people
performing CPR in one hour, with 434 people taking part against a target of 300.
Over two days at Tower Suites by Blue Orchid Hospitality, thousands of people came together for the Saving Lives campaign to learn CPR, refresh their existing knowledge and practise the skills needed to respond in an emergency, supported by experienced instructors from St
John
Ambulance, First
Aid for
Life and City
of London
Police. Every person taking part was required to receive CPR training, so the record attempt
was not
simply about numbers but about giving people a practical skill that could one day make the
difference
between life and death.
Alongside the CPR training and the world-record attempt, participants took part in free blood pressure checks by Doorstep
Pharmacy, tourniquet training by the City of London Police and other practical sessions; all hosted by our headline sponsor Blue Orchid Hospitality at their Tower Suites hotel.
